Description

This is a new piece, and direction for my ongoing series, called “Ab-scraps”… I’ve made hundreds of them over the past 20 years, but haven’t added 3D elements before! Ab-scraps are a byproduct of my commercial work, commissions, and other artwork. I started the series back when I used to own a sign shop! Mid sign production, I would pallet of excess paint onto scrap sign material! Over years, a few brush strokes at a time, abstract paintings would emerge. I no longer professionally paint signs, but I continue the practice today anytime I have excess paint to sling!
